Revenue earned by the department from fees charged an works executed were Rs. 1.77 & 3.73 lacs respectively. These revenue figures formed about 40 & 45 percent of the expenses on establishment of the department in the respective years.
With respect to financial expenditures incurred in these years, the establishment cost works out to about 20 & 15 percent only.
The aforesaid figures suggest that the department's growth after independence continued with satisfactory pace. |
