iii) Awareness Programmes
Information, Education & communication (I.E.C.) related activities to create awareness in all sections of the society including public representatives regarding use of safe drinking water, importance of sanitation and their relationship with community health with a view to change their behaviour to use, maintain, protect & sustain the assets created for safe water supply & sanitation. Awareness programme was carried out through radio broadcast.
iv) Policy Workshops
Organisation of State and District level workshops for framing of strategies and framing of implementation policies in the sector. Total 61 of the total 70 districts of the state were covered by organising district level workshops.
METHODOLOGY ADOPTED FOR ABOVE ACTIVITIES

Selection of trainees for Grass Root Level Training (G. R. L. T.) was done by a village panchayat level committee known as water supply and sanitation committee ( WATSAN ), which is headed by village pradhan. Training to the selected candidates was given by organising training camps at block level with the help of support organisations (N.G.O.). 102 support organisations were registered in the State H. R. D. Cell for conducting such trainings in different parts of the state. Resource persons for these trainings were selected from the concerning departments at the district level.

Sector Professional training was given to the officers at H. R. D. Cell and also at different institutions which organise & conductshort- term in-service training programme in various themes related to water supply and sewerage besides computer related subjects.

Policy workshops were being organised at district level in consultation with a committee headed by District Magistrate .
